FREE TRAINING: How To Write And Launch A Bestselling Book In 1 Hour A Day |
Wow! 2016 is over and 2017 has begun. I can already tell it is going to be an amazing year. Before we dive into 2017, I want to look back at what was an incredible year. More specifically, I want to go back to last January when I created My 12 Month Journey. A year later and I can say that this was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

11 down, 1 to go. November is coming to and end and with that so is my November activity. For the past month I have been learning and creating a sales funnel for my new course, Elevate Beyond - SCV: Kelf's Keys to College Preparation, Career Development and Life Motivation.
I set out at the beginning of November to learn how to create an automated sales funnel that would allow a customer to go from curiosity to purchase. I chose to learn more about sales funnels so I could create a sales funnel for my new course that will be launching tomorrow. I wanted to create a way to automate my business while also providing incredible value to my potential customers. Happy Halloween! October is done and just like that there are two months left in 2016. My 12 Month Journey has been quite the experience and this month’s challenge of daily vlogging was truly a treat! I have to say, filming yourself everyday definitely takes some getting used to.
September. What a month! This month was filled with amazing experiences and exciting new opportunities. September was also the month of my mom’s birthday which was very special. Have I ever mentioned how great of a woman she is? Well, she’s the best. Anyways, this month’s activity was healthy-ish eating.
There are a couple of reasons I chose to do healthy-ish eating this month and they are:
To think that we are already two-thirds of the way done with 2016 is pretty unreal. It feels like just yesterday I was creating my goals for the New Year and figuring out what I wanted to accomplish. To give you a quick update, since the start of 2016 I wrote a book, became a bestselling author, opened an inspirational/educational speaking business, traveled Europe, went to the NBA draft and completed eight months of My 12 Month Journey and that's just the beginning.
Nee hau! Hello everyone! We are a little over halfway through the month of August and I am loving every minute. Learning Chinese has been an incredible task that I’ve taken on for my month’s activity. It is definitely one of the harder activities I’ve chosen on My 12 Month Journey, but that is one of the reasons I love it so much.
Before you read any further, I know what you are thinking… and yes, I know that I can’t learn Chinese in just one month. That is completely okay with me. What I can learn are some of the basics and by the end of the month my goal is to be able to know enough Chinese to have a basic intro conversation with someone. I finally understand. I now understand why everyone talks about traveling abroad and seeing the world. The 15 hours travel days weren’t fun but the experiences that followed resulted in one of the greatest trips of my life.
When I first thought about going abroad I was hesitant. I was hesitant to spend a lot of money. I was hesitant to take 2 weeks off work at a time when I was picking up steam. I was hesitant it wasn't the right time. All of these hesitations were valid but making the plunge and committing was 100% the correct decision. I was able to spend two weeks traveling Europe with some of my best friends and seeing the world’s marvels. We left on June 29th and for my July activity we traveled to Amsterdam, Rome, Florence, Barcelona and Berlin. I didn't really know what to expect other than I was going to visit some incredible places and see some amazing sights. Hey everyone! I just got back from my first euro trip and it was awesome. Here is a quick recap of the trip. A long version will be coming soon!
Favorite hostel: Flying Pig Favorite local person I met: Jere Favorite drink: shot bar in Barcelona Favorite food: sandwiches from L'antica Noe and Bo De B Favorite city: Florence Favorite view: top of the Vatican Favorite museum: The Jewish Museum Favorite experience: Walk home from Sagrada Familia Photo Credit: Sunlighten.com
5 down. 7 to go! Meditation and stretching was truly a challenge for me, but also one of my most beneficial months. While I am still working on being able to touch my toes, this month gave me hope. Throughout the month, I could feel my body changing and becoming more relaxed and flexible. Unlike some months, I definitely plan to continue meditating and stretching. My body feels healthier and my mind feels clearer and those are both positives in helping my overall success. Let’s take a look and see how I did with my goals since the first update. In the trendy world we live in and since most of my friends live in Santa Monica or DTLA, I decided to hop on the basic train and take on meditation and stretching as my month’s activity. I coupled these together because this is My 12 Month Journey and I am doing things that challenge me and interest me.
