#StroudStrong x Elevate Birthday Fundraiser

It’s party time! Today is my birthday and it’s a special one. Why? Because every birthday marks another amazing year alive. Like, are you kidding me? I overcame the odds of being born. I can read, walk, talk, see, and hear. I travel the world inspiring people. I’ve built two businesses that provide jobs for 20+ people a year. I have the greatest family. I get to have conversations with people of all walks of life. Another year alive marks another opportunity to ELEVATE the world.
 
To be honest, I love my birthday. I love receiving the warm birthday wishes, the motivational messages from people reaching out, and reconnecting with people I don’t talk to all the time.
 
Over the past few weeks though, I’ve been thinking about how can I make my birthday this year even more special. I thought back to a question I asked myself before I wrote my first book – What can I do to help people? 

And then it hit me. Since Elevate Your Network came out in October, I’ve been able to work with thousands of people from across the United States. I’ve been able to talk with people of all ages and share a message of positivity and happiness. At the same time, I’ve been able to share the story of my good friend, David Stroud.
 
If you’ve ever heard me speak, you’ve probably heard the story of David Stroud and how to be #StroudStrong.
 
If you haven’t heard the story or who Dave is, he’s a legend. I wrote all about his story here, but the short version is Dave is an incredible person who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma before he graduated high school. For 4 years he battled and beat cancer continuously. He overcame obstacles and surgeries that few people thought were possible. After his incredible battle and perseverance, Dave passed away, but it wasn’t before he defeated cancer and became an inspiration to everyone. His legacy lives on through so many people and I think about him all of the time.
 
So to honor Dave and to continue spreading the message of elevation, I’ve set a birthday goal to raise $250. The campaign begins on my birthday (today) and will end in two weeks on the final day of 2018.
 
Here’s how we’re raising the money. From today until December 31st, I will be donating 100% of the profits from my books Elevate Beyond and Elevate Your Network to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. CHLA took amazing care of Dave and if we can raise money to give another kid the same opportunities Dave had, then we’ll be doing something very special.
 
If you already have a copy and want to donate, keep the holiday spirit alive and give your copy to someone who you care about.
 
If you want to donate more than the price of one book, then invest in multiple and share them with your friends and family.

My goal for this campaign is $250 and yes, there’s a reason for that too. Dave’s number playing basketball was 25, (that’s why there’s 25 Kelf Keys in Elevate Your Network) so I felt making the goal 10x was the move.
