How We Raised Over $3,600 for 12 Charities in 1 Year

We did it! 12 months of raising over $100 for 12 different charities. 

In total we raised over $3,600, had over 100 donors from all over the world, and changed countless lives. 

It’s because of you guys that we ended up with such a successful campaign.  

In case you are new or weren’t able to support last year, the 2019 Giving Challenge was an idea that I had to help raise money for 12 different charities throughout the year. The goal was to raise $100/month for each of these charities through social networking. 

I created this because I love to give. The only problem was that I couldn’t give the amount I wanted to, so I thought that if we combined our efforts and people gave $5 here and there, we’d be able to achieve something greater than ourselves. 

Once again, the power of creating value and providing people with an opportunity to serve turned out victorious. 

This project further confirmed that we all want to do good; sometimes, we just need a little guidance. 

As the creator, I needed to find a way to collect money the easiest so here’s what I did. I made a monthly goal so everyone knew exactly what we were trying to achieve. Then each month, I created a specific fundraiser so everyone knew exactly where and how to donate. For some of the months, I was even able to say exactly what the $100 would provide for the specific charity.

As the person picking the charities, I needed to find charities that people would support. I asked people on Instagram and Facebook what charities they wanted to see. I picked some of those charities because I knew they would help lead the charge for the month. This led to more engagement, new audiences, and increased donations.

As a donor, I needed to find a way to donate easily that required minimal effort so I created almost every campaign directly on Facebook. All I had to do was enter the amount and my credit card. I didn’t even need to stop scrolling 😉 

When you put in the effort and make life easier for others, you can create anything! 

This year, I am not doing the Giving Challenge every month, but you better believe that I will be donating more money and more time. As I grow in life and business, I will always continue to give because if you aren’t giving then you aren’t truly living!  I hope you feel the same way and will give however you can and as often as you want.
