Feeding America - Month #4 of the 2019 Giving Challenge

Month #4 is here which means it’s SHOWTIME! For the month of April, we are going to be raising money for Feeding America.
 
Before we dive in, let’s look back at the first three months:

• Cystic Fibrosis - $620
• Thirst Project - $110
• Saving Innocence - $100

 
We’ve had donors from all over the country! Major shoutout to those of you who are making a monthly contribution to the Giving Challenge.

It’s funny that we ended up on Feeding America for this month. Feeding America was first introduced to me through Tony Robbins who is focusing on the 1 Billion Meals Challenge with a goal of donating 1 billion meals by 2025. How awesome is that?
 
Also, a colleague who plays for the New York Jets, Kelvin Beachum, is a big supporter and I’ve been watching him engage with Feeding America from afar figuring out how to get involved.
 
Lastly, this month I started intermittent fasting to work on my diet and be focused on my health goals, so I thought it would be great to focus on an organization who puts an emphasis on food and feeding people who need it.
 
Obviously, we all love food. We love to a nice home cooked meal, delicious desserts, and for some of us even a scrumptious late night meal from Taco Bell.
 
Unfortunately, not everyone has this opportunity which is why Feeding America is the organization for the month of April.
 
For every dollar donated, we will be able to provide 10 meals for people facing hunger. Let me say that again… $1 donated = 10 meals!
 
So, when we reach our goal of $100 for the month, we will have provided 1,000 meals. INCREDIBLE!
