Every year around Thanksgiving people talk about what they are thankful for. I think it is great that everyone does this because it helps people reflect on who they are and what is important to them. With that said, I don’t think you should only think about giving thanks during Thanksgiving and the holiday season. I think you should give thanks throughout the year. What I mean by that is everyone should say thank you and show more gratitude all year round.
Make a commitment to yourself to give thanks all year round. Showing gratitude and giving thanks doesn’t have to be a grand gesture; it can simply be a text or buying someone a drink to show your gratefulness.
The biggest thing is to share your appreciation with others. Not only is giving thanks a nice thing to do, but it will help develop and maintain meaningful relationships. Whether people will admit it or not, everyone loves when someone thanks them. It gives them a sense of accomplishment and makes them feel warm and cheerful on the inside.
I hope that everyone has a terrific holiday season and gets it started with a wonderful Thanksgiving meal, but most importantly, I hope that everyone will share their gratitude and give thanks more often.
I encourage you to share this post and TAG AT LEAST 3 PEOPLE you are thankful for as a way of publicly showing your gratitude to the people that mean the most to you.
P.S. I am very thankful for my family as you can see by my selection in the image for this post. Everything I do, they support and everything I do, I do for them.
