5 down. 7 to go! Meditation and stretching was truly a challenge for me, but also one of my most beneficial months. While I am still working on being able to touch my toes, this month gave me hope. Throughout the month, I could feel my body changing and becoming more relaxed and flexible. Unlike some months, I definitely plan to continue meditating and stretching. My body feels healthier and my mind feels clearer and those are both positives in helping my overall success.
Let’s take a look and see how I did with my goals since the first update.
GOAL: Mediate for 10 minutes every day.
RESULT: I meditated successfully 10 out of the final 14 days of the month. Yes, I know I released my update after the halfway point, but I kept a tally of each day I meditated because I wanted to track my total progress.
GOAL: Touch my toes from a standing and sitting position.
RESULT: I can touch my toes from a sitting position and am getting very close to touching my toes from a standing position.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to increase flexibility, I am open to all suggestions as this is something I am really interested in improving.
Even though I did not achieve my designated goals, I did the best I could. I learned the importance of consistency and getting into a routine. On the days I didn’t meditate, it wasn’t because I didn’t want to. It was because I kept putting it off until later so I could complete other work except later never happened. This just goes to show the value of prioritizing certain tasks as well as the value of setting a schedule and staying on top of your to do list.
